Genie
A persistent personal agent with its own memory, personality and tools.
Genie is a personal agent that persists. Unlike a chat, which starts fresh, Genie remembers what you've told it, keeps working across sessions, and can use the tools you connect.
What makes it different
It remembers. Context carries across conversations and across days. You don't re-explain your project every morning.
It has a personality you choose. Warm, direct, playful, professional — set how it talks to you.
It uses your tools. Connect the services you already work in and Genie can act in them, not just talk about them.
It works on longer tasks. Things that take more than one exchange to finish.
Access and monthly cost
Standard and Ultimate provide access to Genie. Each personal Genie runtime in a workspace costs $10 per month in credits, deducted from its owner's balance. This is not a free included seat or an additional setup fee.
The first calendar month is charged on activation. Renewal is charged at the start of each calendar month (UTC), without proration. Model and tool usage is metered separately. You need sufficient credits to activate and renew Genie. Reconnecting to an existing runtime does not add another activation charge.

Getting started
- Open Genie in your workspace in Studio or the mobile app.
- Follow the activation information shown for your account. Where automatic activation is enabled, a confirmed Standard or Ultimate upgrade starts preparation in the selected workspace once entitlement and credits are confirmed.
- Choose a name, personality and preferred way of working. You can save these while Genie prepares and return later on web or mobile.
- Wait for preparation and settings synchronization to finish, then start chatting.
- Browse skills and packs in Discover. Review each skill's requirements; services that need a login or API key must be connected before use. Installing a skill alone does not verify that its tools work.
The “Alvin, supercharged” introduction explains these capabilities and is powered by Elyxir. Existing Genies keep their saved personalities. Education-specific study content is reserved for education users.
Automatic activation is currently validated in sandbox. Other environments may still show manual setup; use the activation and billing disclosure shown in your account.
